Hello! I'm Deb Chitwood, mom of two successful homeschool graduates, a Montessori educator and writer, and a former Montessori teacher and homeschooler. I am also author of the ebook Montessori at Home or School: How to Teach Grace and Courtesy. Lastly, I am a blogger who loves sharing ideas and activities at Living Montessori Now, as well as Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter!

I am happy to be here as an affiliate of Lisa Nolan's online Montessori programs for birth to age nine. The founder is a Montessori-trained 3 to 6 and 6 to 9 teacher with 25 years of experience. I met her on the Internet many years ago through her Montessori blogs and joined her Montessori Bloggers Network where we support and network with new and established Montessori-inspired bloggers.

About Lisa Nolan

There never was a child so lovely
but his mother was glad to get him to sleep.~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hi! My name is Ms. Nolan, the trained and certified Montessori teacher. I've taught Montessori in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986.

I took my Montessori primary training in 1986 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco with the late head mistress, Ursula Thrush. I took my Montessori elementary (6-9) training in 1988 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco (with the late head mistress Ursula Thrush) through the University Extension, University of California Berkeley. I received an MA from San Francisco State University.

I am also an author, a stay-at-home work-at-home mom, a blogger, and a webmaster. I guess you can call me a one-mom operation! My son was born with Down syndrome in 2004, and being at home with him, using Montessori education since birth, has been a blessing in disguise!

~Lisa Nolan AKA Lisa J Lewis
